Growstats.com-Legit or fake?
25 08 2010So, I am about to talk to you about a little company called growstats.com. They claim to offer you “real, targeted” traffic from their thousands of advertisers. So we thought well lets give em’ a go and see what sort of results we achieve. Here is our story.
We decided to purchase their cheapest possible option of 1000 visitors for around 7$ so as to minimize the risk of it being a waste of time. On their website they do tell you that their traffic is from pop-unders, and this at least offers some respite from the toil of finding information on how all of these websites deliver you traffic. Now as we keep on telling you, never ever use pop-up services. They don’t work and are just blocked by pop-up blockers and this is exactly the same for pop-unders. So we already had warning bells ringing about the service.
After signing into their stats service, which I have to say was nicely laid out although the fact that your username and password usually consisted of something along the lines of:
Username: JR2AUOQJ7K4C
Password: basically the same thing but changed it to something more memorable. However, you couldn’t change the username and this could pose infuriating to some users of their system. So soon after ordering we set up a stat counter of our own so we could compare the results. After the first “targeted visitors” began to flow in we saw quite a weird trend. They only stayed for around 3 seconds which basically is the time for a pop-under to be closed. By about half-way through the campaign 95%, yes 95% OF THE TRAFFIC LEFT AFTER 3 SECONDS!!! We expected it to be bad, but 95%! that was awful. At the end of the campaign we went back over to their website and saw the targeted traffic section. Let me just say this, being sick is an understatement of the feelings we had for that website over how they had scammed us out of our precious $6! Their stats sayed that all 1000 visitors had been delivered, but in reality our own stat counter was saying around 700 visitors had arrived, about 300 short. Not very immpressive so far, and if you combine this data with the number of visitors who stayed for more than 3 seconds as less than 5% which works out at about 45 visitors. All of those visitors left after 10 seconds.
Summary
Growstats is a SCAM. There, I said it. They provide untargeted pop-under traffic to your website which all leaves after 3 seconds (over 90%) and this traffic delivers no sign-ups, no ad clicks, no affiliate sign ups. No, they just close the pop-under and forget, much like an untargeted audience would. To sum it all up then; Growstats.com is a waste of time, and deliver traffic, but NOT results.

Scam Alert! Revisitors.com
23 08 2010This is a final warning to all of you, do not, I say DO NOT use Revisitors.com! This site is what can be called unashamedly a con. It may appear as a perfectly normal and perhaps slightly attractive site on the outside, but when you look deeper, you see the true nature of the beast lurking within the shadows of their company.
First, lets look at the website. You may have come to them because of their prolific google advertising campaign where it states “
www.Revisitors.com Buy it from everyone else first. Once they fail you, use ours.
No good company who truly know how to have a good online presence should need to use advertising, instead seo is the way forward. They are nowhere to be found when you search web traffic in google and so you can see that they are clearly going to be able to help your internet prosperity out when they have to pay hundreds of pounds to have ad campaigns.
On their website, they have many testimonials from a large number of people. I decided to search one of the so called testimonials websites and I found this out:
Hello Steve, it’s me Felton. I hope you are doing well. By the way I really want to thank you for the great money making tips. I am using one of them on my website http://www.thenewbiesadvocate.com and of course I am directing the traffic to your website Revisitors.com.
Felton Thompkins – Owner, The Newbies Advocate
If you search the newbies advocate in Google and you click on it you are immediatly bombarded by hundreds of pop-ups. This is the dark secret of their system which they fail to mention on their website. They say that their traffic comes from, “Our traffic comes from a large network of specialized websites.” They DON’T tell you how the traffic is delivered to you, and in reality, these specialized websites are just advertising pages themselves.
Summary
To sum it all up then. Revisitors.com is a SCAM because of the way it directs traffic to your website which has an incredibly bounce rate and the average time a visitor stays is less than 7 seconds. They claim to be legit, but in reality, we’ve just busted another SCAM.
